Online feedback - weekly roundup

By Sarah Kennedy
Patient Experience Officer

Patient feedback is a great way to say ‘thanks’ to our staff as well as a vital part of how we learn and improve when we fall short/things don’t go as they should.

If you’ve visited our hospitals please let us know. With Patient Opinion and NHS Choices it’s quick and easy to share your experience. Alternatively, you can tell us how we did by sending us a tweet to @nottmhospitals

Last week was a quieter week for online feedback but here’s a great piece of feedback from a patient and some tweets we have received from patients and their families about patients’ experience in our care:

“We were rushed in for an emergency c section with our little boy, I originally wanted a home birth so this was a huge shock to both me and my husband.

I don't even know where to start with how fabulous the staff are that have helped us at qmc! Every single member we have met has been so friendly and extremely helpful!!

We had to stay in hospital for a few days as baby wasn't feeding properly and again, the staff were amazing, helping me Brest feed, looking back, I couldn't have managed to breast feed if I had stayed at home, the staff on ward c29 have been absolute stars with getting my little boy to feed!! They are so attentive and friendly, It has been a blessing in disguise that we needed an emergency c section over a home birth, even with my mother and mother in law and two midwifes booked in for a home birth, as I wouldn't have had this attentive, friendly and helpful care at home that I've had at qmc. I am thrilled at the help we have had and even after just a few nights staying here, I am going to miss the lovely staff!
We cannot thank them enough for their friendly helpful service!!!!

Anyone considering having a baby here must do so!! The care we have experienced has been exceptionally amazing!!!!”

@nottmhospitals my father in law is in icu at qmc thank you to all the staff that are helping xxxx

@nottmhospitals they've all been amazing. All the nurses, HCAs, porters, etc have been so lovely. My dad is smiling again! Thank you
